2003 Summer Musical: STARMITES

The Story    Dreaming her way into a comic book adventure in deepest space, Eleanor saves the galaxy in this zingy rock musical. It is Eleanor, Space Punk, the Starmites and the lizard man (Trinkulus) against the evil Banshees led by Diva. They eventually have to band together to save the universe from the ultimate bad-guy, Shak Graa. Read more details and listen to the songs at the Starmites website. Qualifications    Intermediate and Advanced Performing Arts Students of Santa Barbara County, ages 12 to 22. This show needs strong voices and dancers and some boys that sing falsetto. (Intermediate students might be cast in the Forest Troupe, which will have a slightly modified schedule for rehearsal and smaller program fee—see below.)

	Milady: Superhero of Innerspace.    Sami Eve (U/S Bizarbara)—Anacapa HS Space Punk: The hero, captain of the Starmites, and the heart throb of the Universe.    Daniel Burke (U/S Chroma Some)—SBCC

	The Starmites: A teenage band of Space youths dedicated to fighting the deadly forces of the Universe. They include:
		Herbie Harrison: The organized and methodical member of the group. He plays by the rules.    Graham Harbison—Laguna Blanca Dazzle Razzledorf: The bumbling showoff of the group. Openly expresses his feelings.    Adam Trent (U/S Space Punk)—DPHS Ack Ack Ackerman: The groups tough guy. He is second in command.    Kenny Meza—DPHS Mort Thiacole   Andy Roehm—SMHS Aardvark Osterwald   Gabe Gordon-Harper—DPHS Chroma Some   Dane Svenningsen (U/S Dazzle)—DPHS Fuzz Bud   Matthew Escarcega—SMHS Shak Graa: High Priest Of Chaos, determined to destroy both Earth and Innerspace.    Erick Finck—DPHS Trinkulus: A reptilian minstrel, once slave to Shak Graa now serving as guide to the Starmites.    Roddy Kennedy—Cabrillo HS Diva: Imposing and powerful Queen of Innerspace.    Malynda Hale —DPHS Bizarbara: Awkward and shy daughter of Diva. Program Cost
   $375.00 for the entire 6-week program (Intermediate Program, $275.00), plus $15 for make-up kit. Full and partial scholarships will be available as needed, and may be applied for after casting.
