DEANNE
ANDERS (Director/Co-choreographer) has been
at the helm of Santa Barbara Youth Theatre since the beginning
as the director of Schoolhouse Rock Live, Jr., Over Here!,
Li’l Abner, How To Succeed in Business Without Really Trying,
West Side Story and Starmites the last six summers.
In the winter she directs SBYT’s dramatic offerings, including
an acclaimed production of The Diviners, Dracula, The Miracle
Worker, and this year's classic, The Crucible. During
the year, Deanne Anders is the credentialed theatre arts instructor
at Marymount Middle School where she has directed many plays.
A member of
Drama Teachers Association of
Southern California, Deanne's students
have competed in drama and Shakespeare festivals in Los Angeles.
She holds a degree in acting and directing from UCLA and has
continued her professional development with many courses including
the intensive summer institute “Directing for Educators” at Yale
University. Deanne’s first career was in the world of television
production for many companies including NBC, Columbia Pictures
Television, Hanna Barbera, Hooper Productions, and ABC.

CONNIE
LAMBERT (Producer) is in her seventh year as heart and
soul of Santa Barbara Youth Theatre. Connie can be found behind
the scenes coordinating, facilitating, planning, fundraising, and
overseeing every aspect of the business of the production. Connie
has also, occasionally, been spotted back stage with a broom in
her hand!

PAM HERZOG (Musical
Director) continues as part of the SBYT team following the successes
of Schoolhouse Rock Live, Jr., Over Here!, Li’l
Abner, How To Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, West
Side Story, and Starmites. Pam is the credentialed music
teacher and choral director at Cold
Spring Elementary School in Montecito,
California. Pam has musically directed many shows for Cold Spring
and heads up the choral program. Her vocal groups have been selected
to perform throughout the community including the Santa Barbara Symphony
at the Arlington Theater.
Pam has been
honored with the prestigious NBC Crystal Apple award for outstanding
teaching. In Santa Barbara, she has been in the youth theater
scene for many years with organizations such as the Civic Light
Opera Theater and Access Theater, where she has served as musical
director for shows such as Joseph and the
Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Once on this Island, Family Tree,
Godspell,
and Leap!

BRAD SPAULDING (Technical
Director/ Lighting Designer) returns to SBYT for the
sixth year having worked on Over Here!, Li’l
Abner, How To Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, Dracula,
West Side Story, The Miracle Worker, Starmites, and The
Crucible. Brad is the technical director and mentor to our
technical crew of students.
Brad is a graduate
of San Marcos High School where he received his technical training
working on shows there and being trained by Ted Dolas and David
Holmes. He continued his training after school working with various
professional companies in the area and is in his third year as
the Technical Director at Center
Stage Theater in Santa Barbara’s Paseo Nuevo Mall.
